Student volunteers will be part of the organization of the symposium. They will play a major role in executing structural tasks – especially during the conference. Among other things, they hand out and check badges, monitor sessions, show people where to find the conference rooms, restaurant, bathroom, help with the microphone. Along with many others, the student volunteers put A LOT of effort into helping the symposium run smoothly.
Who are Student Volunteers (SVs)?
Being an SV is an incredible opportunity to network with possible mentors, collaborators, and peers.
SVs are students! They are not trained event managers or AV technicians. They are volunteers and conference attendees. All SVs agree to an informal contract: in exchange of their time during the syumposium, the conference waives their registration fees and provides daily lunch, housing and breakfast. SVs still have to pay for their transportation. Workshops and courses are not covered either.
How do I become an SV?
You must have had student status for at least one semester during the academic year before DecisionES 2025 symposium to qualify for the program. We are more than happy to accept undergrad, graduate, and Ph.D. students. We need friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to help us out.
