WP2 will build from the expertise and experience of beneficiaries and partners in the DecisionES network, namely in research and outreach in growth modelling and simulators, non-wood forest products, water-related ecosystem services, biodiversity, wildfire ecology and management, wildfire behaviour simulation.
Consolidation of this first DecisionES interdisciplinary knowledge pillar will improve the understanding of forest ecosystem dynamics, disturbance regimes and biodiversity, to define management regimes that may better cope with risk and climate change and to enhance the projection and quantification of ecosystem services.
